AWARD at Physical Internet 2021
AWARD was presented at the virtual exhibition of IPIC 2021 as an innovative H2020 project advancing physical internet in the automated logistics sector. The project coordinator Inès Guth from EasyMile presented the project and welcomed participants to the virtual booth at the IPIC exhibition.
What is IPIC 2021?
The 8th International Physical Internet Conference was titled “Towards a smart hyperconnected era of efficient and sustainable logistics, supply chains and transportation” and took place on 15 and 16 June 2021.
The IPIC Conference originates from the Physical Internet Initiative and represents an open forum for researchers, industry representatives, government officials and citizens to explore, discuss, and introduce disruptive concepts, methodologies, projects, technological advancements, start-up initiatives, for current and future Physical Internet implementation. The conference topics include Logistics Nodes, Logistics Networks, System of Logistic Networks, Access and Adoption, Governance, making this event a unique opportunity to learn, network and discuss the latest results and challenges about interconnected logistics.
The 3 Days virtual IPC 2021 conference gathered more than 350 attendees who had the opportunity to learn from 150+ speakers – leaders and researchers, who covered sessions and workshops on various topics as well as 35-panel sessions anchored by industry leaders focused on current PI trends and issues.
IPC 2021 Online Exhibition enabled attendees to meet and network. At the Online exhibition, all sponsors, exhibitors and organizers were involved and represented with enhanced visibility features such as videos, brochures, extended info, social info and connections to attendees etc
Why did AWARD participate?
As an innovative H2020 project scaling autonomous logistics, AWARD participated in Stream 5: “Transport and material handling innovation”. The project coordinator Inès Guth from EasyMile presented the project ambitions and use cases and joined the wider conversation with other leading experts in Session 26: “Redefining vehicles and warehouses for the Physical Internet”.
