AWARD at the ATTC - Austrian trade fair on intelligent roads talking to vehicles
In a significant stride towards enhancing digital twin technologies and cooperative intelligent transport systems (C-ITS), the AWARD project took part in a joint activity with the ESRIUM project during the Austrian trade fair on intelligent roads talking to vehicles (ATTC). Held on October 18, 2022, at the ASFINAG location in Kaisermühlen, Vienna, this event marked a pivotal moment for the discussion of national digital twin capabilities and the integration of C-ITS for Cooperative, Connected, and Automated Mobility (CCAM) deployments.
At a booth shared with Austrian partners, Wolfgang Schildorfer from the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria (FH OÖ – Logistikum) highlighted the integral roles that the European projects ESRIUM and AWARD-H2020 are playing in this innovative landscape. Schildorfer’s presentation delved into how both projects contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of digital twin technologies and C-ITS applications across Europe.
The AWARD project, renowned for its commitment to advancing autonomous logistics solutions, seamlessly aligns with the goals of the ESRIUM project, which focuses on enhancing the accuracy and reliability of digital maps for CCAM applications.
