AWARD at the Mobility Innovation Week Japan 2023 in Tokyo
AWARD took part in the Mobility Innovation Week Japan 2023, in Tokyo, on 17 November 2023, organized jointly by Mobility Innovation Alliance Japan and ITS Japan.
Mobility Innovation Week Japan 2023, co-hosted by Mobility Innovation Alliance Japan and ITS Japan, marked a pivotal moment in the journey of the AWARD project. Building on the decade-long success of the “SIP-adus Workshop,” the event broadened its horizons to embrace the broader theme of innovation in mobility, particularly in the realm of autonomous driving. In the Tokyo area, the weeklong event featured the “Mobility Innovation Workshop,” an international platform that addressed the latest trends and innovations in autonomous mobility. This was complemented by thematic workshops and technical tours organized in collaboration with key stakeholders.
AWARD´s role at Mobility Innovation Week Japan 2023, Tokyo
AWARD was proudly represented by Aggelos Soteropoulos from AustriaTech, who led AWARD-H2020 involvement with an interesting presentation at the “JP-EU Bi-lateral meeting”. This session delved into the intricacies of AWARD’s ambitious goals and highlighted its significant focus on revolutionizing the Hub-to-Hub use case. The event saw a diverse representation, with participants from various EU projects, policy makers, and key Japanese stakeholders.
The presentation on the AWARD-project was very well received and the colleagues from Japan showed high interest – especially in the topic of teleoperation.
