AWARD the MODEX 24 in Atlanta

During this year’s MODEX 2024, held from March 11th to 14th in Atlanta, Georgia, TractEasy in collaboration with Toyota Material Handling Systems (TMHS) and Advanced Charging Technologies, Inc. (ACT), showcased the cutting-edge EZTow autonomous tow tractor. The event took place at TMHS facilities, located at 6000 Plummer Rd SW, Atlanta, GA, capturing the attention of industry professionals with a live demonstration of this advanced driverless technology.

The EZTow vehicle, renowned for its robust outdoor material handling capabilities, demonstrated its prowess in autonomously managing cargo and material flows at industrial sites and airports. This electric vehicle integrates seamlessly with existing fleets and systems, operating around the clock to enhance efficiency and safety while reducing operational costs.

Lee Jones, Corporate Systems Manager for TMHS, expressed enthusiasm about the demonstration: “Automation can perform repetitive tasks quickly and accurately, leading to increased efficiency which translates to cost savings and higher productivity. With MODEX right in our backyard in Atlanta, we had such a great opportunity to demonstrate the TractEasy EZTow for everyone to see.”

Richard Reno, CEO of TractEasy, highlighted the synergy between the companies, “We are delighted to partner with Toyota Material Handling Solutions for this demonstration. We are happy to showcase the strong performance of our solution and its alignment with TMHS’ commitment to outdoor automation.”

Adding to the event’s success, Michael K. Nelson, President of ACT, noted, “We are excited to support TractEasy and integrate our industry-leading charging solution into the innovative EZTow deployments.”

The EZTow is built on EasyMile technology, noted for its reliability and the extensive operational data it has accrued across more than 400 deployments globally. This makes it the most-deployed autonomous tow tractor worldwide, used in major automotive manufacturing plants and logistics centers, including BMW Group Plant Dingolfing and Daimler AG in Germany.
