This week, from on the 3rd and 4th of May 2023, the 4th European Conference on Connected Automated Driving<\/a> (#EUCAD2023<\/a>)<\/strong> took place in Brussels, Belgium. The conference brought together experts and stakeholders in the field of connected and automated driving to discuss the latest developments and future of the industry.<\/p>

AWARD was part of the \u00b4demonstration group\u00b4booth which included the AWARD project<\/a> alongside other EU projects like the MODI<\/strong> Project<\/a> and ULTIMO<\/strong> project<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong> On the 3rd of May, from 18.30h to 22:00h CET, attendees had the opportunity to visit the exhibition booths and see the latest innovations in connected and automated driving. At the AWARD booth, visitors could meet with Julien Collier – Project Manager at EasyMil<\/em>e<\/a>,<\/strong> Ted Zotos – Research & Innovation Manager at IRU<\/em><\/a><\/strong>, and Radivoj Mali\u0107 – <\/strong><\/a>Project Manager & Business Development Manager, International R&D&I projects at ENIDE,<\/em> who represented the AWARD team.<\/p>

The project aims to accelerate the deployment of connected and automated freight transport solutions across Europe. To achieve this, the AWARD team conducted trial operations in adverse weather conditions, in both closed areas and mixed traffic, to assess the safety and efficiency of automated commercial freight operations.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

EUCAD2023 was a great opportunity to showcase the progress CCAM has made in the last years and the challenges ahead towards commercial deployment, updated regulation and user acceptance. AWARD, as the only logistics-focused demonstration present, is covering a broad range of logistics applications, including the critical aspect of harsh weather conditions.<\/span><\/p><\/div>
