His talk centered on an advanced ultrawideband (UWB) localization system developed within the AWARD-H2020 framework, significantly enhancing the accuracy of position estimation for autonomous vehicles at logistics hubs.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">This innovative UWB system, tested at the DB Schenker site, counters the limitations faced by traditional satellite navigation in adverse weather and obstructed environments. Dr. Pichler-Scheder discussed how the integration of an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) and a vehicle motion model into the system refines the estimation of a vehicle\u2019s 2D pose, including its position and orientation.
