AWARD Participates in SIA VISION 2022: Bringing Innovation to the Transport Industry!
The European All Weather Autonomous Real logistics operations and Demonstrations (AWARD) project, which aims to accelerate the deployment of innovative, connected, and automated freight transport solutions in Europe and worldwide, took part in the SIA VISION 2022 International Congress held in Paris from November 18th to 20th, 2023.
AWARD was presented by the STI Research Officer at CEREMA, Pierre Duthon, titled “The application of PAVIN Platform into the AWARD project.” In front of an audience of 200 people, Duthon spoke about the role played by Cerema’s ITS research team in the AWARD project and their involvement in setting up protocols and carrying out tests in degraded weather conditions.
About PAVIN Fog and Rain platform:
Located in Clermont-Ferrand, for the development of the sensor suite and associated algorithms, this physical simulation platform also provides an opportunity for the research team to develop the production of maritime fogs by extending the size range of the reproduced fog droplets.

The AWARD project brings together a consortium of partners from academia, industry, and research institutions to develop and demonstrate innovative autonomous solutions for logistics operations in all weather conditions.
